Well, I'm very happy to be able to tell you that my first book signing went quite well today. We were blessed with really great weather for February in central Illinois -- sunny during the middle of the day, and it wasn't horribly cold, either, until about four pm. So people were out & about at the mall. (Borders in Peoria is at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie, which is a large outdoor mall.) People wandered through the bookstore, friends of mine showed up, and I got to chat and schmooze for a couple of hours. I had brought pizza for the bookstore staff, so everyone likes me now. : ) I sold half of the books I had to sell, and the rest I signed generically and they are now sitting on the bookstore shelf with stickers on them that say "Autographed Copy". And I even sold a book to a complete total stranger (my friends bought the rest). It's been a good day. Huge thanks to: Al, Mike, Teresa, Deanna, Christi, Rob, Cindy, another Deanna, Priscilla, and my Rob. I really appreciate you guys showing up -- you made my day.
